Crochet has sucked up my stitching time

No cross stitch projects to show off, but I've been keeping busy with my crochet hook. After finding out we were having another grandson, and that my daughter friend Jessie was having a little girl, I felt the need for a little pink in my life, so I got out the yarn and started a blanket for her. I love the ruffle on the edge of it. The varigated blue blanket is for the new grand darling due in just a few short weeks. I like the colors of blue and since the yarn was given to me by a co-worker it was nice to show her what I was working up. (THANKS DONNA!)

Very nice :) I wish that I could do something like that! I don't know if I could follow a crochet pattern well enough to do a blankie, but I do like doing dishcloths...LOL!

They are both very pretty, Adana. Congratulations on learning that you are going to be a grandmother again!

Thanks for the remarks. Cindy, if you can do dishcloths, you can do a blanket. I've even made a baby sweater and had the picture published in a magazine years ago. I don't follow any pattern, I make it up as I go along.....that way there are no mistakes.

Susan, another month or less if my daughter can get the midwives to help her manage it earlier. She wants a water birth this time around and I'm not sure I'll be in the deliveryroom for this one. We'll just have to wait and see.

Dani, thanks, it's such fun to give a new mom a blanket made with love. So far many of them realize how much work they are and appreciate them, which makes it that much sweeter.
